I have been very lucky in my life to have experienced some pretty wonderful things.

I have stood at the top of Niagara and Victoria Falls, hearing and feeling the power of the water as it rushed over teh edge and plunged onto the rocks below, and in that power, I experienced the awesomeness of God.

I have stood among the huge electric generators in Hoover Dam as they whirled at tremendous speed producing electricity for three states. The sound was deafening and the power was breathtaking, and in all that, I sensed the immensity of God's might.

I have stood at the ocean's edge, on four continents, and witnessed the thunderous roar of the crashing waves as they met land after their long voyages around the world, and there I sensed the strength of God.

Today, I sat at the bedside of a nun who had spent 70 years of her life in the service of God, as she lay moments from meeting Him. The room was quiet and still, only the sounds of the respirator and the shallow breathing of the sister could be heard. It was here that I knew that I was in the presence of the Grace of God.

I am a very lucky person.
